Apple Almond Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients:
  • ½ cup - Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ cup - Unbleached Flour
  • 1 tablespoon - Brown Sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon - Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon - Salt
  • 2 - Eggs (separated)
  • 4 tablespoon - Oil
  • ½ cup - Buttermilk
  • ½ cup - Apple Juice
  • ¼ cup - Chopped Almonds

Method:
  1. Mix flours, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat egg yokes, oil, buttermilk and apple juice well.
  3. Stir it with the flour mixture and nuts until all ingredients are moistened.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
  5. Spoon the mixture with the help of a hot greased griddle.
  6. Turn once when bubbles appear.
  7. Makes about 8 to 10 pancakes.
