- ½ cup - Whole Wheat Flour
- ½ cup - Unbleached Flour
- 1 tablespoon - Brown Sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon - Baking Powder
- ¼ teaspoon - Salt
- 2 - Eggs (separated)
- 4 tablespoon - Oil
- ½ cup - Buttermilk
- ½ cup - Apple Juice
- ¼ cup - Chopped Almonds
Method:
- Mix flours, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a mixing bowl.
- Beat egg yokes, oil, buttermilk and apple juice well.
- Stir it with the flour mixture and nuts until all ingredients are moistened.
- Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
- Spoon the mixture with the help of a hot greased griddle.
- Turn once when bubbles appear.
- Makes about 8 to 10 pancakes.
